PRICING

Used books are sold at 1/2 the publisher’s price. For instance, if a publisher’s price of a book is $17.00, you pay $8.50 plus tax.

New books are priced at a 10% discount of cover-price, plus tax.

New Bargain books/activites/puzzles: These are publisher overstocks or special purchases. Books are new but may have small markings or slight damage/dings: 50% of cover price, plus tax.

Used puzzles and games are sold at 1/2 the publisher’s price. For instance, if a publisher’s price of a puzzle or game is $14.00, you pay $7.00 plus tax.

New puzzles and games, t-shirts, totes, blank notecards, and bookmarks are priced as marked.

RETURNS

Any new item may be returned to the store for store credit within 30 days of receipt. To be issued store credit, the item must be in the same condition in which it left the store. Please note that shipping costs will not be covered by the store. To inquire about a return, please email us directly at klr@ksbeachreads.com


USED BOOK CONDITIONS

We are very picky about the used books we sell. All pictures of a used book are pictures of the actual book available for purchase. We make every effort to photograph all imperfections and include them in the photo deck.

Like New: Book looks unread and in perfect condition. Pages are clean and are unsullied by any kind of notes or folds.

Very Good: Book has been read, but it is still in excellent condition. There may be writing the inside cover, but the pages are unsullied.

Good: Book has been read, but it remains in a clean condition. The cover and all of the pages are intact. There may be signs of wear on the spine and/or cover. There may also be writing on pages. No highlighting.

Steal Deals: Book is a readable copy. Pages may contain considerable notes in pen or highlighter, but the notes do not impede reading of text. Cover may be appreciably worn with creased or bent corners.



Trade-in Policies

Fall ‘23: CURRENTLY, WE ARE NOT TAKING TRADE-INS.

WHEN WE GET OUR BIBLIOBUS ON THE ROAD, THEN WE WILL BEGIN TAKING TRADE-INS.

We are more than happy to receive your gently used books, puzzles, and books in exchange for store credit. To be eligible for store credit, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Items should be enclosed in a box or an intact, tied bag. Please write your name on the outside of the box/bag.

  2. Please limit the amount of trade items to 15.

  3. Please wait 3 days.

    All trade-ins are quarantined for a minimum of three days before processing begins.

    Trade-ins are processed in the order in which they are received.

    We donate any books not accepted.

  4. We do not accept the following:

    1. hardcovers without dust jackets

    2. encyclopedias

    3. magazines

    4. Reader’s Digest books

    5. coloring books

    6. series romance

  5. Trade-ins must be clean, no mildew or water damage, no ripped or chewed pages or covers.

Store Credit for trade-ins:

WHEN WE GET OUR BIBLIOBUS ON THE ROAD, THEN WE WILL BEGIN TAKING TRADE-INS AND ISSUING STORE CREDIT FOR THEM.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Store credit is offered at 25% of the publisher’s price of the book. For example, if a book is $8.00, you will receive $2.00 in store credit.

  2. You may use your store credit for a maximum of 50% of your purchase price, and you pay the remaining 50% plus tax. You may use store credit on all used merchandise.

  3. Store credit may not be used on new books and puzzles, blank notecards, bookmarks, t-shirts, or totes.

  4. Any remaining store credit rolls over, and it never expires.
